The Peninsula
The Peninsula is a transformative mixed-use development in the Bronx spanning five buildings and three phases of construction. Once complete, the campus will deliver 740 affordable homes alongside retail, community facilities, public open space, and workforce development opportunities. As part of Phase 2A and 2B, Techmenity provided the low-voltage infrastructure supporting community connectivity, resident access, and building security across two residential towers comprising 355 affordable housing units.
Key Objectives
- Provide community-wide WiFi for residents in compliance with HPD Broadband Guidelines
- Implement secure, reliable access control and intercom systems across two towers
- Deploy surveillance to protect residents, staff, and community spaces
- Integrate technology seamlessly into building operations and common areas

Project Impact
Once complete, The Peninsula campus will include four mixed-use residential buildings, a light-industrial manufacturing building, 740 affordable homes, retail space, community facilities, and over 57,000 square feet of public open space.
Technology plays a critical role in how residents experience and access these spaces. By delivering the infrastructure that supports community WiFi, access control, intercom, and surveillance systems, Techmenity helped create a connected, secure environment designed to serve residents for years to come.
The Peninsula demonstrates how thoughtful technology planning can support broader community development goals and improve quality of life at scale.
